Tech News: Will Disney acquire Twitter?

Rumours are circulating that the entertainment giant Disney are “working with a financial adviser to evaluate a possible bid for Twitter,” according to a Bloomberg News report.

It has been reported that Disney (DIS -1.31%) are looking at the potential benefits of combining the two companies, but the process is far from confirmed or definite. It has been suggested that Twitter could fetch up to $30 billion, news that has helped push Twitter’s share price (TWTR 3.09%) up 21% in mid-day trading last week.

The Walt Disney Company would be expected to develop Twitter’s streaming-video strategy, in an attempt to rival Facebook and Snap who recently launched their Snap Video recording Spectacles.
