BlackBerry Passport Release Date

We are expecting the BlackBerry Passport to be announced in a couple of weeks and we have told you about Blackberry’s revolutionary touch responsive keyboard here, explored the 4.5 inch unusually square display here, but what else does the Blackberry Passport have to offer? Blackberry are playing their cards very close to their chests and leaving us hanging on many aspects of the Blackberry Passport. What we do know at a glance is that the BlackBerry Passport has a quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and a 13Mp rear facing camera.

Avid conference callers will rejoice at BlackBerry Passport’s improved  BlackBerry Natural Sound technology,  previously only available on BBM Voice calls. Passport now allows the same effect on normal cellular voice calls, which combined with the four onboard microphones that adapt audio levels in realtime, make for a crisp clear experience.

Whilst these features, revolutionary keyboard sound exciting, we did have one concern when faced with the 4.5 inch screen; battery life. Surely a device with with a 4.5 inch square 1440×1440 LCD display would drain battery life like water in a desert. But Blackberry truly have thought of everything, packing in an impressive 3450 mAh battery allowing long life without scrimping on the interesting features such as BlackBerry Assistant, productivity apps like Docs To Go and social media. “No other smartphone or phablet on the market today has a battery that large.” – Blackberry.
