Sony has unveiled the Xperia Z3+, a slimmer (6.9mm v 7.3mm) and lighter (144 grams v 152 grams) version of the Xperia Z3. The new lightweight, slim device is easy to hold and fits comfortably in the hand. The USB charging connector is capless so the charging cable can easily be plugged in without having to open a protective cover. The device has a 5.2 inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 424ppi.

The Z3+ features a 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS rear camera and a 5.1 megapixel Exmor R front facing camera with 25mm wide angle lens. The rear camera has the same 1/2.3 inch image sensor as found on the Xperia Z3 and features Sony Cyber-Shot and Handycam technologies. Even in low light conditions, the Z3+ captures great pictures and with Exmor RS and HDR technology on board, great pictures can be taken even in strong backlight.

With Android 5.0 Lollipop software, the new Z3+ has 32GB of internal storage as standard, 3GB of RAM and a 2930mAh battery providing a full two days of use. It arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64 bit chipset for faster browsing, Wi-Fi MIMO and 4G LTE Cat 6 giving a data transfer speed of up to 300Mbps.

The Xperia Z3+ has IP65/IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, so no need to worry if you get caught in a rain shower.

The new Xperia Z3+ device will be available in four colours, black, white, copper and aqua green.
