The countdown to the iPhone X release is soon coming to an end and we could not be more excited.

Here’s 11 facts about the iPhone X to keep you entertained during the pre-order period:

1. The screen has been dubbed a ‘Super Retina Display’. It’s a 1125×2436 OLED display allegedly made by Samsung.

2. The new iPhone allows for better compression and booting thanks to the HEIF(high-efficiency image format) and HEVC (high-efficiency video compression) formats support.

3. It’s almost all screen thanks to the removal of the home button and the 5.8in display that fills the entire front of the phone right up to the rounded edges of the slimline bezel.

4. At an eye pleasing 2436 x 1125 resolution, the first ever “Super Retina” display allows for a pixel density of 458ppi, making the screen a beautiful delight to use.

5. The Face ID has taken over the job of the fingerprint scanner, using dot protector to map thousands of individual points around your face for a higher level biometric security layer. Apple have also made this feature more secure and consistent compared to their completion with a 7MP camera, secondary infra-red camera and a flood illuminator for accurate tracking when you’re in the dark.

6. The faster autofocus, more realistic HDR photos, and better pixel processing accumulate to create a better dual camera experience than any we’ve seen before.

7. Running on Apple’s new A11 “Bionic” chip with a new six-core architecture and another four cores for improved energy efficiency, the iPhone X’s increase in performance is extremely noticeable.

8. As with the iPhone 7 onwards, there’s no headphone jack. But you will receive in ear headphones with a lightning port adapter as standard in the box.

11. Whilst the older iPhones had built-in support for the U.S. military-created GPS network, the new device will support Galileo, Europe’s new satellite system, which came fully online in late 2016.
