More ways to make Android yours with Android Nougat’s top Personalisation Features

Android Nougat was released earlier than expected this year. Unlike previous Android Operating System upgrades, Android 7.0 Nougat was released before the new Nexus phones and first hit the market first with the LG V20.

If you like to personalise your OS experience here’s what you can do within Android Nougat:

1. Data Saver

Data Saver allows you to limit how much data your device uses. When the Data Saver option is turned on, apps in the background won’t be able to access cell data.

2. Notification Controls

When a notification pops up, just press and hold to toggle the settings. This allows you to silence future alerts from an app in the notification itself.

3. Display Size

Not only can you change the size of the text on your device, but the size of the icons and the experience itself. Making it a perfectly personalised visual experience.

4. Enable developer settings

To turn on the developer settings, head into Settings > About phone. Scroll to the bottom and repeatedly tap on the Build number. After a number of taps, you’ll unlock the developer options.

5. Use adoptable storage

Turn the external storage of your Micro SD slot into integrated internal storage. Simply Click on Setting > Storage & USB. At the bottom you’ll see the SD card details, with the option to format and use as internal storage.
