Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review

Two weeks ago we were raving about the rumours circulating Samung’s Galaxy Note 4. Now, we’re pleased to announce that the handset is available and ready for purchase and from our hands-on experience it’s even better than expected!

One of the most impressive features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is its 2K display. Whilst the screen size itself has not changed from the Note 3’s 5.7 inches, the resolution is now a whopping 2560 x1440 and can rival the LG G3. The display is even more stunning thanks to the use of a Super AMOLED screen which offers breathtaking vibrant colours.

When Samsung informed us that the Galaxy Note 4 offers a better battery life to the Note 3 we were slightly sceptical, especially as the handset is one of the most powerful smartphones ever, with a Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. However, after rigorous testing not only did we find the new chip extremely speedy, but the battery lived up to Samsung’s big claims.

An upgraded 16 MP camera with built-in optical image stabilisation is paired with a front-facing camera that offers a new wide-angle mode, perfect for capturing selfies of large groups in a panoramic style.

Fans of the S Pen will be pleased that the Note 4 offers an S Pen with twice the sensitivity, as well as some new fancy calligraphy and fountain pen options for added creativity. There is also a highlighting option and selection function similar to a PC mouse, which allows for more efficient use of the handset.

As always with Samsung there is an impressive about of software extras, including Multi Window, voice recording app (which is impressive thanks to the Note 4’s three microphones) and Ultra Power Saving mode.

If you like the sound of this, but fancy trying out a curved-screen version, you’ll be pleased to hear we’ll soon have the innovative Note Edge in stock. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to hear our stock updates.
