Following the success of the Liquid Z series, Acer has announced the Liquid Z5,an affordable device with a large 5 inch display. The device is aimed at the budget conscious who want a phone for mainly web browsing, taking photographs or social networking.

The Z5 has a large 5 inch display screen which is ideal for watching movies or videos.  With its rounded edges the device fits nicely into the hand. Weighing just 147 grams and being just 8.8mm thick the device is easy to carry around in your pocket or bag.

The device is powered by Android 4.2.2. and has a dual core 1.3GHz processor with 4GB of internal storage. It also arrives with Wi-Fi and integrated GPS and has a 5 megapixel camera.

The Liquid Z5 comes with Acer Rapid which wakes up the screen, launches the camera from its locked mode, for you to take a picture. It can also be used to launch your favourite apps and pick up calls. It also boasts Acer’s Float Apps, which lets you stack apps on top of each other. The apps appear translucent giving the appearance that the apps are floating, making multitasking easy. Another feature of the device is Quick Mode. The Z5 features four different Quick Mode profiles, Basic Mode for youngsters, Senior Mode for the older generation, Classic Mode for all main functions and Keypad Mode for users who   mainly need to use the keypad.

As with all Acer smartphones, the Liquid Z5 supports AcerCloud which allows you to share files and information among all your devices. It also includes backing up of photographs for 30 days.
