Will the iPhone 7 dual camera produce more detailed photographs?

Monday, August 29th, 2016

It’s no secret that Apple are likely to release at least two new smartphones in September, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7s, maybe an iPhone 7 Pro as well.

New rumours suggest that the iPhone 7 handsets may house dual cameras. A source from Bloomberg suggest that these dual cameras will provide a brighter, more detailed photograph as each lens will come with its own sensor. Therefore, each single photo will be a composite of two images captured at the same time.

Will the iPhone 7 house a Touch Sensitive Home Button?

Thursday, August 25th, 2016

We’ve heard a whole host of rumours surrounding the iPhone 7 handset (or 3 possible variants of the iPhone 7) , due for launch in September this year. New predictions have surfaced surrounding the home button on the up coming apple release.

There have been numerous reports online suggesting that the iPhone 7 will house a brand new innovative pressure sensitive home button which will make use of Apple’s haptic feedback technology. Developing the 3D Touch of MacBook’s trackpads the touch sensitive button is likely to lead to lower failure rates.

The suggestion of a pressure sensitive home button also supports the rumours of a water and dust resistant iPhone this time round, as it will offer better weather sealing.

Apple file Patent for Samsung Galaxy Edge style Curved screen

Wednesday, August 17th, 2016

Apple filed a patent (Patent US009411451) on April of last year for electronic devices with sidewall displays and ‘bent flexible displays may be bent to form front side displays and edge displays’.

The patent describes ”Edge displays may alternatively function as virtual buttons, virtual switches or information displays that are supplemental to front side displays… Edge shows might alternatively perform as digital buttons, digital switches or info shows which might be supplemental to entrance aspect shows.”

This makes us think that Apple are putting together future iPhones (the iPhone 8 maybe) that will offer a curved screen similar to those seen in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Note 7.
