If you love taking selfies then the HTC Desire EYE is the dream phone for you. It has the best front camera of any smartphone to date. At the front is a 13 megapixel camera featuring dual LED flash and f/2.2 lens. With a name like “EYE” you can expect a great camera experience with features such as Screen Share and  Face Fusion (which blends two faces together) together with Auto Selfie function, Voice Selfie and Photo Booth.  The rear camera is also 13 megapixels and features a dual LED flash with HDR and 1080p HD video recording.

HTC’s Desire EYE measures 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm and weighs 154 grams. The EYE has a 5.2 inch (1080 x 1920) display with a pixel density of 424 pixels per inch, virtually the same as the HTC One M8.  Colours on the EYE are sharp making watching movies and gaming on the device an enjoyable experience. The EYE gives full access to Google’s Play Store for purchasing and downloading of all the latest games and movies.  The EYE features the front facing BoomSound giving plenty of volume and range when listening to music or watching movies.

The EYE runs Android 4.4.2 KItKat together with HTC’s Sense 6 User Interface giving a fresh modern look. The BlinkFeed function on the home screen provides a list of contents that interest you and the Do Not Disturb Mode allows you to disable notifications at certain times. The device has a Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM and with a 2400mAh battery you can expect up to 20 hours of talk time. The EYE also features a power saving mode which allows you to shut down all non-essential programmes in order to save battery power.

The sturdy HTC Desire EYE is a good all round phone with decent specifications, a great screen and unbelievable audio.  The matte polycarbonate unibody construction with its grip friendly shape fits perfectly into the hand, and with Motion Launch gesture control the EYE is easy to use one-handed. The EYE is available in an elegant navy blue design with a lighter blue trim.
