The Samsung Galaxy Note II has recently been released on August the 29th at the IFA trade show held in Berlin and it is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note. This is the third device in the Note family and it places more emphasis on the use of a stylus than the other two.
The Best of Both Worlds
Because it offers the abilities of a phone as well as the touch screen features of a larger tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note II has been called a “phablet”. It certainly seems to have some of the best features of both a phone and tablet, with a large 5.5 inch screen, incredibly intelligent stylus and a processor of the 1.6 GHz quad-core variety. Its size has been described as between a large smart phone and a small tablet, making it a very versatile tool to use in a wide variety of contexts.
The Galaxy Note II will also be slightly thinner than the devices which came before it at only 9.4 mm. The phone will be available in several different storage capacities including 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB and it runs on Android Jelly Bean. It also has a microSD slot for up to 64GB. The phone has a huge range of connectivity and sharing features including Bluetooth capability, WiFi, NFC, S Beam and more.
A Clever Stylus
One of the biggest differences in the new Galaxy Note II is the smart stylus which goes with it. Compared to the original Galaxy Note the stylus pen has a much more ergonomic design and is easier to use. It features “Air View” which allows the user to hover over certain content and view a preview. The “Quick Command” feature also allows users to reveal a list of commands with a swipe of the stylus pen.
The stylus also has a rubberised end, which gives it more friction when used on the glass screen which makes it feel more like a real pen. Rather than the 256 levels of pressure sensitivity which the old Note had, the new version has a full 1,024 levels which makes it perfect for creating detailed artwork.
The Galaxy Note II is so smart that it can even alert you when you have forgotten to take the stylus with you, as it monitors its position with the accelerometer and can detect when it is being moved without its stylus.
High Quality Features
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is a high quality device with a lot of features which make it an absolute pleasure to use. The demand for stronger, faster and smarter mobile phones is growing and tech enthusiasts are looking for a phone which functions like a computer. The Samsung Galaxy Note II has so many enticing features that it will be hard to resist this new innovation.
