Android Oreo is Here

Android Oreo is out of developer preview / public beta and is being pushed onto Google’s Android Open Source Project today, enabling third-party Android smartphone manufacturers to start working on the operating system for their own devices.

While most will have to wait a little longer before bagging the update on their device, customer’s with one of Google’s own devices (Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, Google Pixel and Pixel XL) will be pleased to hear the OS has entered Carrier testing.

What can we expect from Android Oreo?

Feature updates include:

  • Notification dots on app icons
