A Great Alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7: The Huawei Mate 9

The latest phablet flagship handset from Huawei is rumoured for a November 3 announcement and, looking at the speculated specifications, it could be a hot contender to take the place of the Samsung Note 7.

Huawei revealed a series of teasers  for the Mate 9 (under the hashtag #AStepAhead), providing the the release date, battery life and camera and rumours of a 20 megapixel rear camera, 12 megapixel front camera. Speculation also suggests that the handset will offer a 5.9 inch screen, full metal body and not one, but two fingerprint sensors.

Here’s a look at one of the Huawei Mate 9 teaser, which interestingly places focus on the battery life of the handset, pointing towards some new and better fast charging technology (maybe Smart Power 5.0).

  • 1080p and QHD resolutions
  • pixel density of 373 pixels per inch
