Review of the HTC One X+

The HTC One X+ is a great mid-range phone with an excellent battery life, 64 GB of storage and an 8 megapixel camera.

Handset and Design

The HTC One X+ design is a revamped version of the One X, a good solid design with a polycarbonate unibody  which gives this well fashioned phone a seamless finish. The back of the phone gently curves meaning that the phone sits nicely in the hand.  It has a better processor with 64GB of storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The HTC One X+ measures 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9mm, the same size as the HTC One X and weighs an average 135g.  Access to the micro SIM is via a slot on the top, close to the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Display

The Android controls appear in touch-sensitive form just below the 4.7-inch Super LCD2 display. Protective Gorilla Glass covers almost the entire front of the HTC One X + offering  a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels with a pixel density of 312ppi, giving a sharp and clear image.

Battery and Storage

The battery and storage has been increased on the HTC One X+.

The HTC One X + is fast in all areas and in general navigation is much smoother than the HTC One X.  It features a 2,100mAh battery, which lasts far longer than the 1,800mAh battery found on the original HTC One X. When using the handset streaming video and listening to music, the HTC One X+ battery will last an entire day. The HTC One X+ comes with 64GB of internal storage.

Camera

The rear 8-megapixel camera offers the same sort of good performance as it did on the One X  but with increased  megapixels from 1.3 to 1.6. it offers fast focusing, with a continuous autofocus making this camera ready for action with very little delay. There is also burst capture, which allows a continuous stream of shots. The HTC One X+ boasts the same great image quality as its predecessor, such as the ability to take a photo while shooting a video. Also now included is the ability to immediately switch cameras.

Connectivity

The HTC One X+ is Bluetooth compliant and has DLNA for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer. With Wi-Fi technology, it has a micro-USB port micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port mobile high-definition video  link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection. A special cable is required for HDMI connection.
