The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini

As expected, Apple announced its new iPhone 13 series. The iPhone 12 comes in several fresh colours with a brighter, better display. The new iPhones also introduce Apple’s A15 Bionic chip for improved performance and longer battery life. How does the iPhone 13 compare to the iPhone 12? They look pretty similar in terms of design and display. This biggest difference being the larger battery in the iPhone 13, which lasts up to an hour and a half longer than the iPhone 12. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max introduced brighter (28% brighter than the iPhone 12 Pro). The handset is also more durable thanks to a new ceramic shield durability to prevent cracked screens. Apple is adding massive storage capabilities to the iPhone 13 Pro, with a new 1 terabyte option. The New iPad and iPad Mini
Apple showcased the new iPad and iPad Mini models. The 10.2-inch iPad received an upgrade to the A13 Bionic processor, 1st Gen Apple Pencil support, and fastly improved 12MP cameras on the front and the back. Meanwhile, the new iPad Mini introduces a bigger screen and four colours. It has USB Type-C (not lightning,) 2nd Gen Apple Pencil support, 5G, TouchID, and improved 12MP cameras on both the front and the back.

The Apple Watch Series 7
The Watch Series 7 won’t ship until later this fall but you can pre-order it now. It has 33% more charging capabilities with slimmer bezels, measuring just 1.7mm, and a larger screen. It is 20% bigger and 40% thinner than the Series 6. You can choose from the 41mm and 45mm sizes.

iOS 15
Perhaps one of the biggest innovations was the release of iOS 15. Apple announced iOS 15 will become available on September 20. It will come with a privacy dashboard that will help you manage the permissions you’ve granted on your iPhone, including a new email feature, which will prevent marketers from being able to record your IP address and other data each time you open an email. Apple have finally released the feature we’ve all been asking for; Group FaceTime. Google Hangouts and Skype have offered it for years, but the latest FaceTime updates will allow you to chat to up to a whopping 32 participants at once.

The best news is that Group FaceTime is relatively easy to use. You’ll even be able to you go directly from a group chat to a group FaceTime in the Messages app.

A carousel along the bottom shows all of the FaceTime participants, while those talking are brought into the majority of the screen. Individual windows can be brought full-screen as well.

The much-coveted feature has been seen throughout the iOS12 beta, but Apple have chosen to delay general release until later in the Autumn.
