Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, the Cat S61 is the upgraded big brother of the very popular Cat S60.

Indoor Air Quality Sensor

The indoor air quality sensor from Sensirion is built in and used to alert users to high levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs/ indoor air pollutants) in their working environment.

Sources of indoor air pollutants can include paints, solvents, carpets, furniture and cleaning products, all common in the environments typical to Cat phone users. The S61 will monitor VOCs and inform users when an unhealthy environment is detected, allowing them to make timely decisions such as opening a window to improve ventilation or taking a break. The sensor can also provide humidity and current temperature readings.

Laser Assisted Distance Measurements

Another useful inbuilt feature is the laser-assisted distance measurement, which can measure point-to-point distances up to 10m, calculate area, and switch between Metric and Imperial measurement. All of this user data is saved within the image so alternative measurement estimates can be taken or adjustments made without returning to the site.
