CES 2019 kicks off today in Las Vegas, showcasing more than 4,500 exhibiting companies. CES has been the global stage for innovation and disrupters for the last 50 years and we’re excited to see the best of this year’s breakthroughs.

Over the week we’ll be taking a look at the news and reviews coming from the show. First up is some information coming in from tech giant Samsung Electronics who are promising to transform the way we use AI and IoT technologies to simplify our days, showcasing eight innovative new projects related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Samsung’s innovation all stem from its C-Lab (Creative Lab)  program, 2012, an in-house idea incubation program that encourages a creative corporate culture and nurtures innovative ideas from Samsung employees.

The eight innovations are rumoured to include;

• In-video virtual ad service ‘Tisplay’,
• ASMR sound recording solution ‘aiMo’
• Instant  video-making service ‘MEDEO’
• AI news  analysis service ‘PRISMIT’
• Custom perfume making service ‘Perfume Blender’
• Auto-adjusting monitor ‘Girin Monitor Stand’
• AI desk light ‘alight’
• Hearing assistant solution ‘SnailSound’.

“We will present promising C-Lab projects leveraging AI technologies in the field of video content creation, perfume making and more. These are deeply related to our daily lives and we hope to catch the eyes of attendees,” -Inkuk Hahn, Vice President and Head of the Creativity & Innovation Center at Samsung Electronics.
