Lumia 950 vs Lumia 950xl

Microsoft has launched the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL the first two devices to run Windows 10 for Mobile. Microsoft Windows 10 Continuum will also be included on both devices meaning they can be plugged into monitors and keyboards for use on a larger screen by means of a Microsoft Display Dock. Microsoft Office and Universal apps are also featured.

Both the Lumia 950 and 950Xl have a 20 megapixel PureView rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera for selfies or video conferencing. The 950Xl comes with OIS, a triple LED flash and a dedicated camera button. And you’ll also get 4K video capture.

The Lumia 950 measures 145 x 73.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 150 grams whilst the slightly larger 950XL measures 151.9 x 78.4 x 8.1 mm and weighs 165 grams. Both devices offer a changeable rear cover. The 950 has a 5.2 inch display with the 950XL having a 5.7 inch screen, both having a resolution of 2560 x 1440. They each feature Windows Hello allowing the device to be quickly unlocked by using your voice.

There’s 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB and both devices have 3GB RAM. The Lumia 950 is powered by a Qualcomm 808 processor and has a 300mAh battery with the 950XL having a Qualcomm 810 processor and 3300mAh battery. By using a Type-C connector you can get a quick battery recharge up to 50% power within 30 minutes.
