HTC have launched the One max. The original One was launched with a 4.7 inch screen, followed by the One Mini with a 4.3 inch screen, now the One max arrives with a gorgeous 5.9 inch 1080p screen.  The screen is also laminated which brings the image close to the surface of the glass.

Notably larger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the One max measures 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.3 mm and weighing 217g is heavier than the Galaxy Note 3 which weighs 168g.

With its aluminium design the One max has a bright easy to see screen and it is slightly larger than the Galaxy Note 3 by 0.2 inches. The HTC One max has 2GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 600 processor compared to the Galaxy Note 3 which comes with a Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM.

As with the Apple iPhone 5s, the HTC One max arrives with a fingerprint scanner just beneath the rear camera lens.  By swiping your finger across the scanner the phone is unlocked, apps can be launched and no PIN is required. The device is programmable for up to three separate fingers and is quick and easy to set up.

With a non-removable 3300mAh battery, slightly larger than that on the Note 3, up to 25 hours of talk time could easily be attained.  With its BoomSound speakers the HTC offers a perfect video watching experience and with its large screen is a fantastic device for gaming.

The HTC One max runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and has the latest version of Sense UI, 5.5. The latest Sense UI 5.5 arrives with new camera features, better BlinkFeed and also gives you the option to off BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed also enables you to save articles for later.

The HTC One max as with the HTC One uses the same 4MP UltraPixel sensor, giving a better performance in low lighting conditions.  The One max can shoot videos at up to 1080p featuring autofocus and there is an option to lock the focus whilst recording.

The HTC One max arrives with a new app, Scribble. This allows you to take notes, make lists and will let you draw on any images you may have taken. It also enables you to bring out your artistic side and draw pictures and create cards.

With the One max  HTC have maximised everything, from screen size down to the amped speakers. With its UltraPixel camera and fingerprint scanner all powered by a massive battery, everything needed is available on the HTC One max.

HTC One S Review

Saturday, March 17th, 2012

One phone we are definitely keen to try out when it’s released is the upcoming HTC One S SIM free mobile phone. HTC has got a really good reputation and so it’s always interesting when they release a new model – and this one is no different. The HTC One S phone is expected to be released in April 2012, so we don’t have too long to wait until we can try it out.

As it is, the spec for it sounds really interesting. It makes use of the Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, uses the 1.5GHz Krait dual-core CPU and has got 16GB of memory plus 1GB of RAM. With any luck, all of this will come together to make a great phone.

Other interesting features of the HTC One S are set to be the 4.3 inch screen protected by Gorilla glass and offering 540x960px. The camera looks like it should be particularly good, with 8MP, an LED flash and autofocus. There’s also HD recording, face detection and geo-tagging for you to make use of.  The web browser supports both Adobe Flash and HTML, so the HTC One S should offer a good browsing experience.

As you’d expect from an Android phone, it also boasts loads of features including Google Search, Gmail, Maps, Calendar, Talk and YouTube. You can also create voice memos and view documents, so it should be useful for business folk as well as for entertainment.

With just a few weeks to go until the launch of the HTC One S Sim Free mobile phone, we’re definitely keen to find out more as more details are released about this phone.
