What will Apple call their next iPhone? iPhone X or iPhone 8?

We’ve been calling the upcoming iPhone the iPhone 8 since rumours began, but the mobile world are throwing in new moniker theories as the launch draws nearer.

If Apple were to follow its current trend, the launch in September would feature an iPhone 7S and 7s Plus, but with the 10th anniversary looming we’re expecting the tech giant to buck their trend.

Insiders are suggesting the next-generation iPhone could in fact be branded as the iPhone X, with the X to mark the 10th year of the iPhone range. The logic of this branding flows as Apple have previously used the Roman numeral in its OS X before the macOS rebranding.
