Huawei P8 Max Review

Is it a phone, a tablet or “phablet”?

Huawei P8 Max

The Huawei P8 Max measures 182.7 x 93 x 6.8 mm and could prove difficult to use one-handed, but with its solid build quality and superb looks, the P8 Max is an extremely impressive device.

The P8 Max has an edge to edge 6.8 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is protected with Gorilla Glass 4. Made almost entirely of aluminium, the P8 Max is sleek and with its bevelled edges makes it an attractive device.

Many features on the P8 Max are similar to the smaller version of the device, the P8. Both devices come with 3GB of RAM, run Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and they have the same 13 megapixel rear camera, dual-LED flash and OIS. The biggest change is the battery with the P8 Max having a massive 4360mAh battery to provide up to 10 hours of movie streaming and up to two days of normal usage from a single charge.

With the Apple iPhone 6Plus and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 as a major competitors, the P8 Max at 6.8 mm is thinner than both and at just 228 grams is not too heavy in the hand. So is the P8 Max a phone or a tablet you can make and take calls on? Nevertheless, the P8 Max has great features and is a solid, eye-catching device.
