BlackBerry ‘Argon’ to be named BlackBerry Dtek60

Last week the internet was flooded with leaked images and Spec sheets for the BlackBerry Argon / DTEK60. Things are starting to look official now, with details landing on the FCC and WiFi Alliance websites.

The FCC showed registration of a device under the model number BBA1001, which matched to a handset on the WiFi alliance site under the name BBA1001 and DTEK60, suggesting that the ‘Argon’ moniker has been dropped. The WiFi alliance also shows the use of Android 6.0.1, not the expected Android Nougat, however we do expect this could change closer to release date.
