Design
Weighing 192 grams, the iPhone 6S Plus measures 158.2 x 77.9 mm and is 7.3 mm thick. Made with 7000 Series aluminium, the device has the strongest cover glass used on any smartphone anywhere. The device comes with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the Home button to allow secure access to the phone. The 6S Plus has a smooth unibody design and will be available in Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold.
Display
The iPhone 6S Plus features a 5.5 inch Retina Display with a fingerprint resistant oleophobic coating on the front. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a pixel density of 401pp. The device features Multi-Touch gestures such as Tap, Swipe and Pinch together with 3D Touch which introduces Peek and Pop. Peek and Pop lets you preview phone content without having to open it in full. It allows you to” peek” at the content by using a light press and when you want to view a specific item in full, simply press deeper to “pop” into the content.
Camera
The iPhone 6S Plus has a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera featuring Face Time HD. The device features Optical Image Stabilisation which is available for both photos and videos. It also features Live Photos bringing your memorable pictures to life. At the centre is the desired photo together with the moments just before and just after it was taken, all with movement and sound.
Connectivity and Performance
With easy to use advanced iOS 9 operating system, the iPhone 6S plus features the A9 chip with 64-bit architecture, providing a fast and efficient experience. The M9 motion coprocessor, which is integrated into the A9 chip, provides great performance and battery life and allows Siri to be always available. The device features Apple Pay allowing payments in shops and within apps using Touch ID.
