We have recently launched a ‘As Good As New’ range powered by AGAN Tech® . These are as new condition iPhones that are powered by a 12 month warranty from AGAN Tech®. Each handset has been tested and certified and has many credentials of a brand new phone.

The AGAN Tech®  range have been selected as they offer a standardisation in the ‘used’ mobile phone market. There are many sellers selling used and refurbished handsets. However, there are many mixed variable and a lot of handsets end up being repaired with non-genuine parts. All of the AGAN Tech®  range are original handsets which have not been broken or had parts changed. Buying an ’As Good As New’ smartphone means that you are also helping to save the environment by buying a recycled product.

Will we ever see the Samsung Galaxy Fold? We hope so.

Will we ever see the Samsung Galaxy Fold? We hope so.

A little under three months ago a few members of the Unlocked Mobiles team were in attendance at the Samsung event in San Francisco, where Samsung unveiled the future in smartphones, well at least we thought so, with the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The hall was filled with excitement, everyone thought that this was an industry changer and we were expecting a new evolution in handheld devices.

After the announcements, we all made our way through the exhibition area to the sample rooms on either side of the venue, we were all excited to see the amazing new device. However, there was one strange question by everyone at this event when we got to the display stands – just why is the Galaxy Fold not on display? Why would there be an announcement for a product and then not have it to show the people who were invited. If there was an indication that Samsung were not ready to showcase this device then this was it. A week later at MWC in Barcelona, we were greeted with exactly the same situation. However, we had faith in Samsung, even after the Note issues in the past, surely they would not make a similar mistake? Well, it appears to have happened again. The lucky people (press and influences that haven’t paid and would have to return the initial samples) who got to use the device before general sale started to receive their sample units and gradually the devices became unusable and failed.

As of writing this post, we are still unsure at to whether the Fold will be released. We hope it does. We hope it will work and we hope it will make way for a new array of amazing devices from Samsung and other OEM manufacturers. Be confident that if it is released, Unlocked Mobiles will stock the Samsung Galaxy Fold Sim Free, so register your interest on our product page – you never know – it may be the best phone ever released after all!

3 Things to expect from Google’s I/O Annual Developer Conference:

3 Things to expect from Google’s I/O Annual Developer Conference:

Tuesday 7th May kicks off with Google I/O annual developer conference goes until May 9th, most of the big announcements will happen during the 90-minute keynote starting at 1PM ET (10AM PT). Here are our top 3 predictions for what we’ll be seeing across the week:

The Pixel 3A and 3A XL

As per usual with any new mobile release, leaks and rumours of the Pixel 3A and 3A XL devices have been flying. We expect both devices to offer a similar camera performance to their flagship Pixel 3 phones, but you’re likely to shell out a lot less money for these models. Cost-cutting does come at a price, with slightly less powerful processors, a plastic build and no wireless charging. But fear not, both handsets will offer headphone jacks, three years of software and security updates, plus other features like Call Screen.

A Preview of Android Q

We’ve seen a handful of beta releases of Android Q from Google already, but we’re expecting the tech giants to offer up more insight into the OS upgrade during their Annual Developer conference. We’re expecting to see more flexible privacy controls, the ability to limit apps to tracking location, a dark mode and a much more responsive sharing menu.

Improvements to Google Photos

It has become one of the most popular photo management App on the market and we’re expecting to see Google introduce new features at I/O. Then there’s predicted updates to Google Lens too, which turns the camera of Android phones into a powerful computer vision tool.

Stay tuned to the blog, as we update you with all the latest news at the week progresses.

Huawei P30 Sim Free and Huawei P30 Pro Sim Free: How do they compare?

Huawei P30 Sim Free and Huawei P30 Pro Sim Free: How do they compare?

Huawei announced their Huawei P30 Sim Free and the Huawei P30 Pro Sim Free devices today, both promising to revolutionise the photographs you take on your device. But how do these two flagships compare?

Let us guide you through with a Specification comparison:

Power:

Both devices running on the Kirin 980, the world’s first 7nm mobile process chipset and the P30 Pro Sim Free offers 8GB RAM, with the P30 offering slightly smaller 6GB.

Camera:

This and the display specifications are where you’ll notice the most difference between the two handsets in the P30 range. The P30 offers a reasonable Triple rear Leica Camera ( 40 megapixel main sensor, 16 megapixel ultra-wide sensor and 8 megapixel zoom sensor) and 3x optical zoom.

The P30 Pro packs in four rear Leica cameras (40 MP main sensor, 20 MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP zoom sensor and Huawei TOF Camera.) The Pro offers 5 times optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom.

Both devices have a 32MP Selfie camera.

Display:

The Huawei P30 Pro sim free gives the latest Samsung Galaxy handsets a run for their money, with a stunning 6.47-inch OLED display, with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 and 19.5:9 ratio. The curved display is very reminiscent of the Galaxy S10, while the Huawei P30 Unlocked smartphone offers a more traditional flat display. Measuring 6.1 inches, the P30 also offers a 2340 x 1080 resolution and 19.5:9 ratio.

A more advanced in-screen fingerprint sensor offers ultimate usability and security, and a IP53 design offers dust and splash protection.

Durability

The Huawei P30 Pro offers IP68 water and dust resistance, again similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. The standard P30 does offer a slightly lower IP rating or IP53, which still covers from most splashes and dust resistance.

Dimensions

As the name suggests, the Huawei P30 Pro offers slightly more, and this includes its size and weight, measuring in at 158 x 73.4 x 8.41mm, 192g to accommodate the larger display. The P30 standard device is slightly smaller at 149.1 x 71.36 x 7.57mm and 165g.

Battery

The Huawei P30 Pro runs on a long-lasting 4,200mAh battery, that offers intelligent power saving capabilities. The Huawei P30 Sim free houses a slightly smaller 3650mAh battery, which still offers incredible battery life for when you’re on the go.
